“Don’t Feed The Animals” forms part of my lockdown series and is a limited edition of 100 Giclee prints.

As these unprecedented times have prevented me from practicing the usual expression of my work, screen printing, I have been experimenting in a range of different media and producing a series original pieces. This has resulted in a new body of work which has been informed by the strange world we currently live in!

I like to tell stories and and aim to convey a narrative through a playful, bold style that expresses character and humour. This piece depicts a commentary on society and in particular how we produce our food. They is a commonly accepted theory that factory farming and wet markets are in large part to blame for the current situation we find our selves in and and less we adapt and change this may only be the beginning of a terrible trend.

The original piece is an acrylic painting. I love acrylic, the immediacy of it. It forces you to work fast and I love how you can play with the merging of colour and layering and am enjoying evolving my style which when I get back into the studio I will look to bring back to screen printing through mono print!

I will produce 100 copies only and each is signed and numbered on the front.
